Fossil is an ongoing series of objects inspired by textures found in the natural environment relevant to the cultural contexts of the artist.
Rocks, stones, plants, flowers and macro landscape textures all serve as a source of inspiration to create the shapes and textural quality of these objects.
References to dried hibiscus petals are recurrent, for their sculptural and textural qualities, and are cast from a curated collection of hibiscus sabdariffa petals.
